Ashwicken Lakes Floating Villas

8 Floating Villas are to be constructed at the west of Ashwicken Lake. These evolve a similar language of the smaller lodges to create a complementary family of designs. The 2-storey floating villas are proposed along the western edge of the site.​

Parking is controlled to dedicated bays for each property, at bank level, with an allowance of 2 cars per property. The bank is higher in this location and properties are accessed from a moveable truss bridge that can rise and fall to accommodate any variance in the lake level.

The plan of these properties is inverted so that guests alight at first floor and are welcomed into an open plan dining and living room space with spectacular views over the lake. The first floor plan is generous enough to accommodate a bedroom and bathroom at first floor for DDA compliance. The majority of bedrooms are on the lower floor at lake level with views directly onto the lake.
